We often hear the words “winners and losers” . This can be connected to any number of things. I’m thinking politics. There are of course winners and losers in politics, like in a race for a position or job. There are winners and losers among voters who elect people to political positions. We are facing an election in which there will be winners and losers in being elected, and I believe our choices in who we elect can create a situation of winning or losing as a nation.

We could elect , in this contest, either a proven loser, a man who has run and lost before or a man who has run and won, against all odds. I believe our nation is winning on many fronts with this man leading us. I believe just as strongly that, as a nation, we would be losing on every front if we foolishly elect a proven loser, pushing a losing agenda, as our leader. I beg all who plan to vote in the up-coming election to seriously consider, with an open mind, the potential consequences of making a wrong decision.

The survival of this great nation is in question! Ultimately, of course, our survival is determined by God. We can only do our best to follow the guidance in his word.

I fear that we, as a nation, are in fact turning away from God. That is, of course, a generalization, for there are many good, moral, and faithful followers of Christ. In the Bible there are examples of even Gods’ chosen people turning away from Him, sometimes in the span of a single generation. I believe we are currently into the third, possibly fourth generation of people turning away from God and His teachings. Mostly , I believe, precipitated by the removal of prayer, Gods’ word, and finally any symbol that could be construed as Christian, from our schools.

I’m neither preacher nor prophet, but a man of common sense and clear vision and I see no positive future for a nation turning away from God. We have citizens currently considering voting socialist leadership for our country, which has historically failed spectacularly. We even have a presidential candidate who is openly , even proudly homosexual and yet claims to be a Christian, and even quotes Scriptures. Gods word clearly proclaims homosexuality as an abomination!
