The pen is mightier than the sword

In 1839 Edward Bulwer-Lytton said “The pen is mightier than the sword” indicating that the written word can be more powerful in bringing about change than actual physical violence or the use of the best available weapons of the day.

I submit to you that President Joe Biden has, indeed begun the process of bringing down the greatest nation on earth in just a few days with nothing more powerful than a pen.

It may take weeks, possibly months ,to complete the destruction, but I believe complete destruction is a certainty. It’s like helplessly witnessing a disaster like a tornado or hurricane completely destroy something you love, with no way of stopping or avoiding it.

BOIL IT DOWN

I like to bring things down to the basics, you know , the lowest common denominator. Consider the two political parties of the U.S. and their agendas. Generally they are known as conservative and liberal or “progressive”. I look at what they stand for. Liberals are for socialism, pro abortion, pro gay rights, anti Christian values, and other lesser known or publicized issues. Conservatives are, generally for capitalism, pro life, Christian (moral) values, and other lesser issues.

While I am not really a single issue voter, I could easily refuse to vote for any liberal candidate for any one of the major planks in their platform. And while I am not for every plank in the conservative platform I can vote for most conservative candidates, and sleep well at night.

Our great country has gone through a great deal of change in my lifetime (I’m 70) I can’t believe we have transformed from what the Founding Fathers established, to what we have become, and I’m Quite sure they wouldn’t believe it.

I fear, greatly, for the future of our nation. If we fall, I believe it will be from within. I can not save us but I know who can. If you want to know who can, contact me.
