In school, I had to dig information out of an encyclopedia or current information from news broadcasts. In either case I was led to believe that both were accurate and could be trusted. Now we are all buried under an avalanche of information from myriad sources! I find it difficult, if not impossible, to believe any of it or find any way to corroborate it. Of the few sources I can find time to consider, I find conflicting “facts” which is certainly no help.
I have narrowed my sources down to a small number which I choose to believe are accurate and trustworthy. Unfortunately, this leaves me wondering if I have chosen wisely, especially when these sources put me in conflict with many who are better educated and probably more intelligent than I am. This leaves me extremely frustrated!! I can’t just ignore what I don’t believe, nor can I believe information that goes against what I personally think is based in fact and just simply makes sense to me based on my seventy one years of life experience and upbringing, AND the Holy Bible.
I’m willing to have a discussion on any subject with any reasonable person but don’t expect to change my mind about anything without actual proof or extremely convincing points of discussion.
